Our inspiration: helping others in a different capacity
As NHS nurses, we were inspired to start Mabelvale Homes to help others in a different capacity. Having both worked extensively within the community, as adult nurses and safeguarding children, we deeply understand the importance of community and support. Our experience has shown us the critical need for safe, temporary housing, and we are committed to making a tangible difference in people's lives.
Our commitment: safety, warmth, and homely comfort
When helping someone find a safe place to stay, our utmost priorities at Mabelvale Homes are safety, access to well-kept properties and comfortable furnishings. We believe that everyone deserves a secure and nurturing environment, even during challenging times. Our commitment ensures that each property offers a true sense of home.
Meet the founders: Claire and Lisa
Claire was raised in a council home in Gloucestershire by a single parent, experiencing firsthand the challenges many families face. After having her own children, she accessed both council and housing association homes. Claire pursued an access course and then her Nursing degree, subsequently working with vulnerable families, including those affected by domestic abuse and child protection issues.
Lisa is an NHS nurse with 37 years of experience. Her career includes supporting housebound, vulnerable, and often isolated individuals within the community, as well as working with children and young people with addition needs.
Both Claire and Lisa share a people-focused, non-judgemental, and individualistic approach, deeply passionate about supporting all members of the community in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.

This approach is built upon many years of dedicated work within communities and extensive experience supporting others.
